23/8/02 LATEST NEWS - Due to lack of bookings, we have decided to cancel the the August LAN event. We regret making this decision, but due to booking levels this event couldn't even pay for the venue costs. There are plans for an event for clans to be held September or October more this to follow.

7/8/02 LATEST NEWS - I have spoken with the Rotherham Advertiser today, who have produced an entertainment article for our next event. This will hopefully be printed in this Friday's edition. As a result I expect we may have a rush for bookings over the weekend, so if you still need a place book now.

.A LAN (local area network) party is an event where gamers who love to play multiplayer games across the internet, can bring their computers to a venue and connect their machines to a high speed network (LAN). This gives the gamer fantastic high speed gaming (no lag!) and also the opportunity to meet your team mates/opponents face to face. In addition competitions and tournaments are usually orgainised at such events.

You will compete with your opponents on a personal level in one room instead of an anonymous enemy over the internet, allowing you to brag about your win - if you win!  The vast majority of PC games at a LAN party will be the 'first person shooter' genre and their will be numerous tournaments played for each type of game, so get ready to frag and brag!
